Due south Park is an American animated television sitcom created past Trey Parker and Matt Stone for Comedy Central.[1] The serial came from a pair of animated shorts titled The Spirit of Christmas, and was originally developed for the Play a joke on Broadcasting Company. Eventually, Play tricks refused to air the testify, which was later picked up by Comedy Fundamental. The start episode of South Park aired on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997. Intended for mature audiences, the evidence has become infamous for its crude language and nighttime, surreal humor that lampoons a wide range of topics. The story revolves around four boys—Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick—and their baroque adventures in and around the eponymous Colorado town.

On September 12, 2019, the show was renewed up to the 26th flavour.[14] On August 5, 2021, One-act Central announced that Parker and Stone signed a $900 one thousand thousand deal for extending the series to 30 seasons through 2027 and xiv feature films, sectional to the Paramount+ streaming platform owned and operated by One-act Central'due south parent company, ViacomCBS, which would get Paramount Global.
